We’ve not done a book in a while so we’re pleased to announce we’re firing up the presses again as we announce Reckless Yes Publishing will be bringing you the debut novel from Sarah Lay in 2018, The Winter Passing.
With a cover design from Marcus Galley at Mammoth Creative Works the novel is the first in a trilogy of contemporary fantasy. The story follows Centaury Morrigan – the days of her mundane life are starting to fall through her; her job is going nowhere and her relationship with her childhood sweetheart is faltering. The island where she grew up is calling her home and it’s starting to bother her that she can’t remember why she ran away or what it was she left behind.
This will be the second book from Reckless Yes and follows the debut novel from Peter Darrington in June 2017, Pentrich: England’s Last Uprising. We aim to bring you novels from authors who don’t run Reckless Yes in the future and will announce a submission window here when it opens. Meanwhile you can still order Pentrich: England’s Last Uprising in paperback and eBook format – details here.

[…] I’m slowly working my way through a literary / plot edit of my second novel and its fascinating (to me) how much of the story I’ve forgotten writing. I find myself pre-empting dialogue but not so much the twists and detail of the story, and what I’m really glad to find is it excites rather than drags me to the finishing of the third book. ICYMI – the books are a trilogy and the first instalment is out this year. […]
