Bugeye has released their first single through independent record label Reckless Yes as Don’t Stop hit digital platforms.
Bursting with their disco-punk sound and a snarling energy the track, and forthcoming debut album from which it’s taken, was produced by Paul Tipler (Idlewild, Elastica, LIINES). With support from 6Music, Radio X and an Amazing Radio playlist spot the single hit 5k streams on Spotify within the first 48 hours of release.
Reviewing Earthly Pleasures said Bugeye had, “a winning formula of thrusting alt-pop bangers, where jarring guitars interspersed wonky synthesizers are spurred on, enlivened by the snarling vocals of Angela Martin.”
Dreamin Is Free echoed praise for the band saying Don’t Stop is, “catchy as hell and once you’ve heard it you can’t help but want to play it again” and Eat This Music said it was, “an interesting song full of personal themes, all jam-packed within this three minute and 23 second single.”
Premiering on XS Noize and with rotation on BT Music for the stop-motion video Don’t Stop has had huge support across online and radio and sets the stage for the release of their debut album in early summer. More details to follow on this.
