The second single from Eilis Frawley, strangers, is released digitally everywhere today via Reckless Yes.
Taken from EP Never Too Emotional which is due for release in early 2020 the track blends rhythms with samples and spoken word vocals while lyrically the vulnerability of relationships is addressed.
Premiering the video Get In Her Ears said, “As the subtle, commanding power of Frawley’s poetic spoken word lyricism flows, the track builds to a psychedelic electronic soundscape, oozing a swirling emotion and sparkling, ethereal majesty. Fusing together innovative layers of instrumentation and speech, it’s a wonderfully unique cacophony, with a truly stirring sentiment that resonates deeply.”
While in the UK for live dates earlier this week Eilis stopped by the Radio X studios for an on air session with John Kennedy. He has said there is nothing like her music around at the moment, and described her skill at making her lyrics both personal and universal in the themes and feelings they address.

Of strangers Eilis said, “‘strangers’ is about the various stages of relationships, how quickly my mind can jump to conclusions whether they are realistic or made up, how vulnerable and anxious I often feel in romantic relationships, and the insecurities they raise within me. We’re constantly creating rituals to build strong relationships, and at the end they are often the only thing left. The line ‘how quickly things can change’ highlights that from one day to the next, the dynamics of relationships can change drastically.”
