Berlin-based electropop band Touching Box has released a new electro art-pop single Red Lips, ahead of debut album What Nothing.
With spoken-sung vocals and minimalist melody, there is a shimmer around the melancholy, the longing ringing in every note.
About the track the band said, “One gets used to being invisible living in a big city. Concrete dwarfs everything and the sheer mass of people, makes one disappear in the traffic of it all. The only thing that is visible — is lipstick. As if this magic pigment can give body to a ghost, as if this magic pigment can make visible what is otherwise imperceptible.”
Individually both Josepha (singer of Susie Asado) and Robert (drummer of It’s A Musical, Albertine Sarges, Kat Frankie, and Masha Qrella) have a deep history as music makers and creatives but the time has come to introduce them together as Touching Box.
Debut album What Nothing is set for release on 17 June 2022 on vinyl, CD and digital.
