Yorkshire five-piece garage-punk band Tiger Island sign to Reckless Yes roster and announce their debut album Let’s Go Out will be released in June 2026.
The band self-released EP Looka Looka Looka in 2024 and fuse the rock ‘n roll spirit of bands like Hot Snakes and the Murder City Devils with the fuzzy synthed-up power-pop of the B-52s and the Cars. They’ve supported the likes of Pulled Apart By Horses and Irked, as well as Goo and Pit Pony.
Track Bad Women was included on the Reckless Yes compilation Among The Wildflowers in 2025 and the band has joined the roster full time ahead of debut album Let’s Go Out being released on vinyl, CD and digital.

Of signing to Reckless Yes Tiger Island said, “We’re made up to be joining Reckless Yes! We were really excited to be featured on the awesome Among The Wildflowers compilation, and we loved Pete and Sarah’s ethos and enthusiasm from the get-go. Pete Darrington, co-founder of Reckless Yes, said, “I’m very excited to be working with Tiger Island. Every since we first heard of them as part of a BBC News article titled ‘We’re Yorkshire’s real Riot Women musicians’ early last year, I knew they were something special. Seeing them live in Sheffield later that year cemented that.
“They write such infectious songs that perform with such vigour, I couldn’t help but be blown away and I think you will be too!”
As Tiger Island sign to Reckless Yes co-founder Sarah Lay said, “We knew we were ready to open the next chapter of Reckless Yes when we saw Tiger Island play in Sheffield. Frenetic, fierce, and funny they have the a rock snarl and pop sensibilities.
“We loved their debut EP and were thrilled they agreed to contribute single Bad Women to our compilation, and we are more than excited to support the release of their debut album. We can’t wait for everyone to hear Let’s Go Out.”
Album Let’s Go Out will be released on 19 June 2026 on vinyl, CD and digital. More news on singles to follow.
