Here we are, the morning after the night before and the first of the Reckless Yes Presents…gigs is now a matter for history. We had a great night.
Of course we are a little biased but it was one of those gigs where the magic of live music was in the air. From the grunge-infused garage rock of Babe Punch, to the dirty blues porno rock of The Hudson Super 6, to the return of alt-rock legends Bivouac we couldn’t have asked for a better line up or set to enjoy.
So thank you to all of the bands for playing amazingly last night, to everyone at the Hairy Dog for helping the show run so well and being so welcoming and professional, and to all of you who braved the rain and forwent the football to enjoy some awesome live music.
We’ll be making an announcement of another big show from Reckless Yes at 6pm today so keep an eye out. Tickets for Mark Morriss (solo set from The Bluetones’ frontman) who’ll be playing on 21 October are on sale now, £8 in advance – https://www.facebook.com/events/456077844589267/
You can see Bivouac on their other dates – tonight in Worcester, tomorrow (18 June) in Bristol, and 16 July at Brudenell in Leeds. You can buy their single from them and you’ll soon be able to pick up a copy in record shops or buy online.
Support Babe Punch on Sunday at Rock City in Nottingham in the Future Sound of Nottingham finals – you can give them your vote here too.
